HR Management
Enhanced security with SOC 2 Type II compliance, MFA, and Okta SSO
We’re committed to your data security and protection, which is why we continually invest in comprehensive security measures, audits, and improvements to ensure your information is protected. Here’s our latest updates for security and privacy:
SOC 2 Type II compliance: SOC 2 (Service Organizational Control 2) is the industry-leading standard for managing customer data. Achieving compliance demonstrates our commitment to data integrity and security by meeting rigorous standards for handling and safeguarding customer data. Multi-factor authentication (MFA): Enhance your company’s account security by enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all users, or by encouraging individuals to activate MFA on their own accounts.
Okta SSO: In addition to Microsoft/Azure AD and Google, we’ve also added Okta as a new single sign-on (SSO) partner, giving you more options to strengthen sign-in security.
Improved homepage notifications and events
It's easier than ever to stay on top of important notifications and events with enhanced filters, tags, and groupings to help you see who’s away, and recognize upcoming milestones such as birthdays and work anniversaries.
Give employees control over their birthday visibility
Employees can now choose whether to share their birthday with coworkers or keep it private. This simple Yes/No toggle in their profile ensures individual privacy preferences are respected.
Enable dark theme for a more comfortable viewing experience
We launched a dark theme for a more comfortable viewing experience, especially in low-light environments. Use the dropdown menu in the top-right of the navigation bar to choose between light, dark, or your device’s default theme.
Reporting improvements to unlock more insights
Have more data easily accessible with our latest reporting enhancements:
- A new Compensation Report to view all active, future-dated, and historical compensations entered in employee profiles
- Expanded data in the Additions and Terminations Report, allowing you to drill down into specific employee details
- More details added to Time Off Balances and Requests reports
Hide onboarding employees from the People Directory
You may not want to display new employees in the People Directory. Now, onboarding employees will not be visible to other team members in the People Directory until they are active in Humi.
Payroll
An easier way to import additional incomes
We added a dollar importer to payroll so adding additional incomes such as bonuses, commissions, tips, and reimbursements is now faster and easier. Simply download the template, enter your additional incomes, and upload all at once.
Entering personal tax credits, simplified
Adding personal tax credits is now easier with clear distinctions between federal and provincial credits, while allowing you to enter total claim amounts. Tax credits are now applied to a calendar year and will reset automatically each year. Plus, we introduced the ability to add a reduction to income tax at source for eligible employees.
View EPT/EHT remittance calculations by province
If you’re subject to employer-paid health taxes/levies (EPT/EHT) in multiple provinces, your remittances will be calculated and shown by province when you run payroll. We've also updated reports to display EPT/EHT by province for a detailed breakdown of these tax remittances.
Time Tracking
Clock in and out with ease
Employees can now clock in to start a running timer and clock out to log their time entry. Administrators can also set custom rounding rules to ensure entries align with company policies, making it easier to track time efficiently. Learn more about enabling the time clock.
Submit hours for a future date
Experience greater flexibility in tracking time by allowing employees to submit time entries for future dates. Simply toggle on this setting and choose how far in advance employees can submit time, from 1 to 90 days.

Automatically post jobs in Humi to LinkedIn
We launched our LinkedIn integration! Skip the repetitive task of creating postings in multiple job boards, and connect with a wider pool of quality candidates on Canada's leading job search platforms. Now you can seamlessly post jobs to your Humi job board, Indeed, and LinkedIn simultaneously.
