Inside the rebrand: discovering the new Humi

Rewind to 2016. Humi is born as the brainchild of a group of friends looking to solve problems they’ve encountered in their own entrepreneurial journeys. It begins as a cloud-based web app that stores employee data – simple, but effective.

Fast forward to today. Thanks to the support of our clients, investors, and the ever-growing team of talented Humi employees (or as we like to call ourselves, Humigos), Humi has grown into the only employment platform for payroll, HR, and benefits for businesses across Canada.

We’ve done a lot of growing, and the journey has been and continues to be incredible. We’re excited to unveil a new brand identity that captures the essence of who we are today.

But it goes beyond a refreshed logo and new website. Although these are exciting parts of this new chapter, it really boils down to a renewed purpose, promise, and vision. Humi has always been about taking good care of your team – and now, we’re laser-focused on who we’re serving and why.

Our purpose 

We believe that every Canadian deserves a work environment they can trust and excel in. That’s why we exist: to support Canadian businesses by building tools that make it easy to create great places to work.

Our vision is to accelerate the Canadian economy by elevating the standard of employment until Canadian business culture is one that’s admired around the world. We know, we know – it’s a big vision, but we’re excited to be leading the charge.

Who we’re building for

We’re a team of Canadians building tools for other Canadian employers based on the challenges we had to figure out during our own growth. There are some things you can only understand when you’ve lived it – like the headache of Canadian tax season – and we get that, which is why we’re focused on solving for Canadian businesses. This market is our home, not just an afterthought.

Looking ahead

While our logo and website might look a bit different, our mission remains the same: to help our clients be better employers. This evolution of our brand is a pivotal step forward in our ongoing commitment to support Canadian businesses and their employees. The new elements don’t change any of that. In fact, we’re solidifying what Humi’s always been about. It’s why we’re here, and why we’re passionate about what we do.
